This First Day Cover was issued May 11, 1984 in New Orleans, Louisiana, commemorating the Louisiana World Exposition (World’s Fair 1984).

The cachet features the formal invitation issued by M.W. James M. Walley, Grand Master, inviting Freemasons and their families to the Grand Lodge Hospitality Room at the International Hotel during the World’s Fair.

Postmarked New Orleans, LA (70113) on First Day of Issue, the cover bears the 20¢ Louisiana World Exposition commemorative stamp.

This piece reflects the public presence and participation of the Grand Lodge of Louisiana during the 1984 World’s Fair.
